NIce work, i love that color. How tough was applying the 3M PPF? I would like to do some on my truck.
honestly not that bad. I have never done it and it turned out good. A little tedious in all but if you follow a YouTube or two you should be good. I did buy a little kit from the jungle site that came with a squeegee that worked well. I think it was about $8.
ask me anything about it and I’ll tell you what I can.
Brake parts have arrived!
first off, everything is very well packaged and notated in the boxes. These guys are providing a great product so far.
I dove head first into the front brakes…
Hammering out the wheel studs wasn’t too bad. To get them back in on the new rotor, I got them mostly set on the ground and then bolted the hub and rotor assembly to my wheel and tightened the lug nut nuts. With the extra torque, I had leveraging the wheel tire. It was a short job to get them fully set.
The passenger side hub is significantly more gummy than the driver side.
That’s it for pictures for now, I did get the driver side brake brakes mostly put back together this evening. I did also order the flex hoses for the front because both sides are fairly brittle. Plus, what better time to replace them when replacing the master cylinder and booster. More pictures to come, I’m done for the night.

More progress today, I finished rebuilding the hub on the passenger side, and installed the new rotor and pads. Give it all a fresh coating of high temp. Paint to tidy things up.
Next order of business was to remove the old master cylinder and brake booster.
Not sure if anybody’s gonna need a functioning master cylinder, but the booster was toasted! The firewall side output was completely rusted away. I got the measurements for the output shaft length and maybe tomorrow I’ll cut that down and install the new booster and master cylinder so I can bleed it. I have a feeling I’m gonna have to put new ends on the brake lines. I don’t think they match.
LOL, I didn’t know Chevy was making boosters and masters.😆
It’s a kit from Power Master Brakes. It’s a dual diaphragm 9” with 1 1/8” bore master.
All those rear disk conversions are “Chevy” (commonly found on eldorados) calipers whereas power master offers a kit that uses “Ford” auto adjusting park brake calipers. Parts are parts hoss.
That's based on the chevy corvette C3 master cyl. and booster. I swapped one into my jeep YJ and wish i would have payed more attention to the MC bore size before hand. I need a slightly larger bore MC, YJ has gm 3/4 ton calipers front and rear.
Are you going to attempt to use the eldorado parking brake?
I was very disappointed with the e-brake performance on a cj7 I had with those rear calipers. IMO drums work much better than those .
I’ll be adapting the stock cables to the calipers they provided in their conversion kit.

Managed to get the new booster bench bled and installed yesterday. The new master needed a new fitting for the rear so I broke out the double flare tool and set about putting the new line end on. No issues there and there was plenty of line to get it done.
