Installed......
I later traded out the black bezel for the factory silver one....

Then covered it in the new carpet (that also had sound insulation built it)......
I even ordered some rolls of carpet from the floor carpet vendor so I could insulate and carpet the rear cab wall behind the seat. You can't see it, but i wanted it more for sound deadening. And the carpet hides the insulation and looks nice when the seat is folded forward......
The rear 'smart' rear view mirror also has a backup camera. I installed it here (all wires hidden above the new headliner).....

Installed new door gaskets. I bought some cheap Chinese gaskets. they were terrible. Got some Dennis Carpenter and they were much better. Don't waste your money on the cheap gaskets.
Started stripping down the old seat.....
Installed the seat heater pads.....
Hog rings come with the new cover.....
Seat bottom done. Took about 1.5 hours........
Then about 1.5 hours more and the whole seat was done.....
New red seat belts (shoulder belts). The factory belts were only lap belts, but the cab had the threaded holes in the B-pillar for the shoulder belts. Bolted right in. No modification required......
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
The first few miles were so loud. Exhaust, tailgate, bed-to-frame. I spent the next few weeks fixing those squeaks.
First was the tailgate. I bought some plastic hinges compared to the metal on metal (loud) hinges......
New tailgate stops/bumpers.....
I fixed the exhaust by removing the stainless X-pipe (since the muffler was 2-in and 2-out and acted like an X-pipe and directed the exhaust out the passenger side in front of the rear tire. The difference was HUGE. The sound inside the cab went down drastically.
More importantly- my wife LOVES it. She asked to take "ranger" (her name for the truck) anytime we need to run an errand.
We are having a blast with it.

Started by welding on an adapter onto the factory pipe I had cut just behind the O2 sensor (this was just a tack for mock-up. It's fully welded now).....
Started running pipes. The universal kit had all kinds of bends and straight pieces.....
Making my way rearward.....

Are you going to add a rear bumper?
