Good to know. I've never had my front axle apart so any extra know how is appreciated. Also, thanks a million for the drag link info. I am not converting this particular truck to power steering so all I need is a drag link. The stock one is unavailable.

Make sure you get the tool to press the seal in before you start otherwise you won’t be able to get everything back together.
yea call them up. I believe you can order just the link but I can’t remember. They are a great company. You’ll likely talk to the owner himself.
And its already ordered! Was able to get it from their website. And it was SUPER reasonably priced! only $125 with a $5 dollar flat shipping fee! Some other adjustable links I found were over $200.
I was hoping someone made a tach that could replace the battery gauge in the existing cluster. I want the original look and didn't want to install a tach that looked out of place. Can't seem to find anyone that makes one unless you switch over to digital...
I have been looking for a grill guard for my truck like my grandfather had on his 71.
Im not a big social media person but my wife has Facebook market place and was looking at some stuff for me.
We found one in Colorado and drove all the way down there to find out he didn’t have one after and his business partner had sold it.
I found one in Nebraska and drove there and picked it up. It was advertised as straight but definitely wasnt. It came with a rear bumper as well.
I figured I could sell the rear bumper and break even and then fix the grill guard and be good to go.
After putting a lift on my buddies truck we fixed and straightened the grill guard and put it on.
Turns out it fit but was for a 73-76 truck and won’t work for mine due to how low it sits.
Definitely frustrating but I guess it’s part of the game.
When I was driving to get the grill guard I passed a place that had a bunch of bump side and on my way back saw that he had a bunch of grill guards and called him. He said he might be open to
selling some parts and told me to call him next week and he would let me know what he decided.
The truck has been running weird. It’s been going really lean. I need to check my spark plugs and make sure they aren’t doing what happen last time. I might do that tomorrow.

I missed this one by me. Someone snagged it before I could get there.
I am going to a guys place on Saturday where he has a ton of fords in several generations but he has a few grill guards for the bumps. He said he would trade me grill guards so we will see how that works out.
I’ll get rid of the mesh and put expanded metal back on it as well as lots of straightening. I’m happy with the overall height of it though. It’s as it should be.
I went to Mitchell over by Scott’s bluff so not very far.
I took that one to largrange and traded to a guy for the one in the picture. It’s way worse off than the other one but at least it’s the right height.
