Nice work, How come you welded on the out riggers and not bolt them on? I would have liked the option of removing them if needed. Even though you would probably have to reinforce the frame.

It would take drilling 64 1/2 holes in the frame and frame plates to make them bolt on. Less work and spreads the load better to weld. Everything is removable with a grinder. haha
At first I wanted a removable system but was talked out of it.

Good luck finding one in decent shape.

Probably not stout enough. Going to put in a real locker, replace carrier with a Yukon Grizzy, aka Detroit locker.
Swapped out the welded diff for Yukon Grizzly mechanical locker. Mini setup kit, just need the carrier shims. If swapping only carrier and not gears, the pinion shouldn't have to move. In theory.
4.10 ring on new locker ready to go back in.
Swap-a-shim game. Was pretty close with existing shims.
The existing shims are one large piece. was able to use one and the shims from the kit. Once backlash is set, add 0.005 to both side for bearing preload. Have to carefully hammer one stack in.
A bit on the toe of drive side which is ok for used gears.

Dam, that's a good looking daily work truck Justin!
Thanks Paul!

For some reason i thought you had already done that.
I also did a trutrack up front. The truck could climb a tree if the bark wouldn’t slip.
haha hadn't heard that one.
I put a mechanical locker in the front during the axle build. So far that had been enough.
Here in dry/rocky conditions need full lock on both ends. No snow or ice.
