Nice little Wrongbed 1962 F100 I am doing a full rebuild on for a customer. Crown Vic front suspension, 4.6/4R75 out of a 2005 Town Car, 2001 CV rear end and complete rewire.
Was eating at a favorite place a while back, a car moved, and there was this CV swap (with some minor patina). I like the exhaust exits. Sounded right purty too.
More progress on the Wrongbed. Dropped the engine and transmission in, modified and installed a transmission mount and swapped in a 2001 CV rear 8.8 for full disc brakes. We received the new engine/transmission harness from Hotwire Auto. Next, we will pull the bed to see what kind if tank has been fitted and look at EFI pump options.
Not much Picture worthy, but did get a chance to install a Lokar Floor Shifter. It came out really nice. Now we need to get a boot to make the install complete.
I used this pump and pickup in my tank when I added the Sniper. I had my tank, a Mustang unit already mounted under the bed, modified to mount the pump. I wish mine had as much flat area on the top as the one pictured. Mine had "ribs" in it and had to have some flat welded in. I didn't want to buy a new baffled tank because I didn't want to deal with any issues mounting the new tank, as I was trying to get everything back together and running in time for 2024 Power Tour. In the end the money I spent on the tank work was equal to a new tank, and the time it took to get it done meant I missed PT.
I did, however put 1600 or so miles on it at last year's Power Tour without a lick of trouble from the tank or pump, so that's something.
