My 1979 F-250 Build Thread
I want to start this thread as both a place for me to maybe ask questions as I go through this process, as well as a way to mark progress and keep motivation.
The build is as follows. My dad purchased this 1979 F250 Custom 2wd, with the 300 I6 about 8 or so years ago for $500. It was a workhorse daily that took him 3.5 hrs and about 200 miles round trip twice a week. For the last 6 or so of those years its mostly sat in various stages of running, and currently starts but wont idle. The thought is that this is probably a fuel tank issue, and we should hopefully be able to drop the tanks and either clean them or replace them soon. We want to bring the old girl back to as close to factory as we can, though we are still hammering out the details. I hope you all enjoy following along! Probably the Fuel issue, so new tanks/lines if need be or just cleaning. Tires just after that because one of them has rotted out. Then interior work because the cab's in rough shape. Appreciate the support!
