never happened once on a single power tailgate we have in our fleet. Not a concern of people who have them….seems to be only folks like you constantly worrying come to think of it lol
name an issue that any vehicle can have and the internet can provide examples of it happening.
what I’m telling you is I have never experienced it neither has anyone I know (in the real world) had a tailgate catastrophe.
we can search anything we want and sit around worrying about it happening to us or we can live life and enjoy. I know what side you sit on since most of your posts are worrying about problems on trucks you don’t own and worrying about how others spend their money instead of simply worrying about out yourself and being happy with what you have.

You let people get under your skin so easily. You couldn't help yourself, and had to interject into a little joke I made back at willynilly. I guess the electronic tailgate on MY truck doesn't count somehow because it's a "problem on a truck I don't own"?
I'm very happy with my truck I ordered the way I wanted. These trucks are typically the second most expensive purchase people make behind their house, so I make no apologies for not sugar-coating bad features and glossing over flaws to someone about do drop big money on one. It's on them to decide if the juice is worth the squeeze after that...

Haha he has been stalking me ever since @roadpilot got angry with me for pointing out his self described astronomical debt free wealth is based on loans from banks on his 800k house and 100k truck, all of which @roadpilot freely volunteered with zero prompting. You nailed how @Rwhjr operates, he gets worked up for the most strange reasons.

anybody that does truck stuff with their truck needs a good working tailgate. if it wont open or opens on its own , thats a big effin problem
I'm just a neanderthal who still opens and closes his gate by my old weak self. All the cool hip young kids are so tech savvy they get to hit the button to do all the manly man truck things.
Power tail gates are lame. Tailgates that open up weird, or have steps?, same thing.
Just give me a regular old reliable XL tail gate. I want a relible truck, that works. Not some yuppie boomer grocery getter.
As an older guy, I do like the steps in the tailgate for the bigger trucks. It gets harder with age to climb up in the bed and even harder to get back down.

Makes things easier for sure. It doesn't help they make the bed floor and bed sides higher and higher. Even half tons are ridiculously high compared to what's necessary.
