You really need to shape the pipes to the turbo mounting flange or shape the flange to the pipe but then you should shape the turbo inlet... I see a lip that will hurt performance. I have built turbo systems for offroad racing.

Yeah I definitely still gotta do some more work but I also plan on taking a little air dremel tool I have and smoothing all the edges on inside of flange probably won’t be perfect but for the time and tools I’ve got I believe it should work fairly well

Looking good. Only thing I can add is that vband in pass pipe may become an issue for the dp.

Well fuel system is done as far as everything on bottom side just gotta rebuild factory bowl and install the riffraff frx and it will be done
And I’m a little concerned that the vband will be a issue on the down pipe but I’m hoping that the fact that it’s a Sd and they have a bit more room there and he’s keeping a 3in down pipe we will see though

Okay guys I’ve got a question for anyone that’s installed a pre made kit or built one I’ve The the 1/2in plate drilled and bolted down on mock up engine I’ve got a 1/4in npt fitting or a 1/8npt fitting for the oil supply the 1/4 honestly looks to big for the oring on bottom side but I’m worried the 1/8 will be to restrictive on the oil supply what do you guys think

I did 1/8"- -6 in the plate it was reasonable size to the output hole size I felt.

At the turbo inlet fitting it's a -6 with 1/4 npt adapter I think It may be overkill,IDK.

My drain is -10an. 1/2" npt

That’s the same size I ended up using the 1/8 npt to 6an the 1/4 was gonna be to big night have interfeered with the sealing surface of oring gonna get a bunch more stuff sandblasted today hopefully and ready for install soon also We ordered everything to build a 10an drain but after some investigation we realized a 06 cummins factory drain works flawlessly and is same size as 10an or larger

Well we haven’t honestly gotten a huge amount done besides finishing the mount out and getting it ready for ceramic coating also picked up a blast cabinet today at harbor freight not the best quality but will do for time being as we start to get into powder coating more I’ll get some more pictures tomorrow

ill second that!

I wish I saw this thread before but I feel both v bands will hit. Passenger side will be an issue with down pipe and driver side with fire wall. I only say this as I just did this in a set of pipes built 6 years ago and the v band needs to be as close to the collector as possible. This is simply for clearance. I'd get a test fit as soon as you can.

Please keep in mind this was with an obs and a SD is tighter in areas and offers more clearance in others.

Yeah I’m kinda figuring on having clearance issues after fartherly looking at it probably be a bit before a test fit or a full install but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it trying to figure a time we can tear his truck down and him not need it for a few days
