What did you do to the X today?
Pesky dome lights fixed. Took out the ribbon wiring and wired in some T10 sockets. Got some LEDs off Amazon. One of my switches fell apart when I pulled the console off. Had a heck of a time finding replacements but I found them!! Had to buy 20. Only needed 2 so I have 18 of the little dome.light switches up for grabs. Will post them.in the free section. I could not have gotten this all working without this forum. Hoping I can help.out someone in need too.
Everything installed.
Broken little switch.
Package of 20 switches.
Tinted Raptor liner is going on the rockers tomorrow. Have been waiting patiently for acceptable weather, looks like tomorrow will work.

looked at the X from the garage...safely shielded from the 52F temp and rain
so I did an oil change on Tahoe instead. holy crap it takes 8.5qts

Since Chevy is too cheap to give you an Owners Manual case, I used a Ford one
and in keeping with the theme, I only used Ford products for a Chevy oil change.
side note, FL-820s is also the filter my 5.7 Hemi uses...small Automotive world

no it requires 0w20
but the active fuel management makes the motor shake really bad in V-4 mode and light load situations
i noticed that it doesn't do that as badly with 5w20 oil. And the valve train is quieter.
we love our Tahoe, but for a motor that's been around for 17yrs, and 10+ years of AFM...Chevy missed the mark in some spots. The 6.0 in my Escalade was phenomenally better. I blame the AFM

I hated that in our mini van so I disabled it. A whole difference of 1mpg but no shaking, full power all the time, and no cold ring/piston problems.

Finally finished rocker rebuild today. Color didn't match as good as I hoped, but it still looks nice. Will be covered by the doors most of the time anyway. Used Raptor liner and tinted it with factory paint.
Before
After..hoping it darkens up a little as it cures. I like it either way
Did both sides, wheel well to wheel well. Sure the neighbors hate me by now with all the noise. And yes... I need to mow haha
