quaddriver,
thanks for the explanation. I know which ones you are talking about now. Personally I would put on some Warm premium hubs and be done with it. In the OPs case he would have to convert to the inter hubs
I have the same Hub as your pictures My4Ford trucks. Think I'll try to get a junk yard Dana 44. Not having luck uploading my pic using the phone....

I guess I should have grabbed them when I saw a set at the junkyard a couple years ago. I did not since I already have another axle I plan on swapping in my Bronco. Good luck in your search. There is one listed on eBay for $180!!

My4Fordtrucks - I saw the eBay listing for the Warn hub. I missed out on two that looked like yours that went for $100 each on eBay this Thursday. I should have grabbed one or both.

When looking, what do I look for:

Dana 44
Is left different than right
F-150 or Bronco, I was told that a F-250 is an A-hub???, also, Bronco II's have 23 bits
19 spline
Anything else?

Lastly, my truck's lockouts did not have the base (spacer) connected to the lockout on either side (as you can see from my pictures). Was this a result of the previous owner grabbing whatever he could? I just want to make sure that if I buy the combined piece, like on your truck, that it's the right part. Thx for all your help!

It would need to be for a Bronco or F-150. Left and right are the same. Both of yours are broken. The "base" is part of the hub and should be one cast piece as shown in my picture.

At those prices, you might be better off trying to locate the outer stub axles (or entire axle shafts) , spindles and rotors from a junkyard F150 or Bronco.

thats a crap load of bucks, you can get the whole front axle for about 250 from a yard and replace the wear parts for another 100 or so

I agree as mentioned in my previous post. It was to show what needs to be changed. I bought a complete front TTB assembly from an '86 F-150 to replace the axle in my '87 Bronco for much less.

I got the one off eBay. Put it on my truck this Saturday and I'm shaking my head. Put both hubs in lock, put the stick in 4H and 4L and NO green 4X4 light. Guess I'll need to put it back on the lift and go from there. The light definitely went on w/ the old hub. Any suggestions?

Additionally, when driving, the hub seems to sound cranky when in FREE. Sounds fine when in LOCK.

The transfer case does not know what position the hubs are in or if they are even installed. Play around with the shifter. It sounds like the connector or switch is not getting a good connection.
