Joe, Everytime I look at your truck, I am amazed. Are there no places that have rusted through? I see none. Your door bottoms look good, your front fenders aren't rusted out above the headlights, not even the left one with the bad dent. Do you think a good body man could hammer that out? Your wife's Grandfather must not have driven it in the winter and kept it parked in a shed. How long was it did it sit before you saved it?
And BJ, I'm glad you showed us pics of other trucks with real patina so we know Joe didn't have the only one there.

I feel the same way. Anyone can build a perfect trailer queen if you have enough money, but only God and mother nature can build a truck like Joe's!

Abe, The front cab corners have a little rust through, but on a non structural part. The lip above the rear glass also has a few pin holes. It was parked in 1972 in a pole barn on the farm. I bought the truck in October of 2002 and started getting the engine free. Then Sarah was born in 2004 and that put a halt on the build. I started again about 8 years ago when I got a house with a garage.
The passenger side fender is not rusted through, but it sure took some hard left hooks during it's life. The left fender got into a fight with a hay baler.
I had trouble at this show. I wanted to see all the trucks, but I wanted to corner everyone that looked at my truck and tell them about it.
I drove by a distillery on my way home and stopped in. Well, the owner has a truck. It was parked inside. The bar tender took me in the back to take a look at it, then the owner checked out my truck before I left.
I picked up some Apple Pie Moonshine while I was there. He gave me a sample of their peach, I haven't tried the apple pie yet.

[QUOTE=bjmayberry2;17334289]I made it home yesterday. Stopped by Ozark and had a great visit with Art in his super nice shop. Sorry We didn't see you Crazywheels or Pappy 53. If you are wanting to go to an easy going, no hassle show this is it. Just mainly a get togeather of folks that like Ford trucks.
I'm terrible with names so I do this so I know who's who.
I was hoping to make this year and see you all, but I just could not.
Maybe next year!
Thanks for the stories and pictures that you all have posted!!

BJ got most of the pictures. Let's see if some of these are not duplicates:
Just in case someone is looking. This was a beauty. Like many of them. He had a further drive than I did.
