1961 F100 Crown Vic Swap aka Franken Ford

I used 36 square feet of The sound proofing and I did not used any on the floor pans on both sides. I kept it 1/4 inch away from the panel seams, so I can monitor and treat rust if it appears again. Its amazing how much quieter it is in the truck now. when I bought the truck someone had welded in some 1/4 diamond steel in the bed. so I made up a fake wooden floor, and it looks a lot better. its not perfect but will last long enough that I can order a complete step-side box. I am not going for a trailer queen but something no one else around town has n I want to be able to drive it without worrying about someone scratching it.

I like the wood bed floor, I used flat stock metal in mine and then installed cherry wood and love it.
I wish I would have put dynamat down, all I did was use a padding and then the carpet. I also installed the factory firewall plastic with padding sheet from DC, you can never have enough sound deadening.

Thinking of doing a metal floor swap into my 81 flare side and like to see how you/others may have done it. Thanks [/hi jack]
What paint did you use on the tires, what prep and how is it holding up?
Thanks
