And you don't get a lot of body work for 900 bucks last time I checked. Never mind rusty wheels, brakes, and all manner of bolts that snap off underneath.... I bought this 2 ton from Minot ND and here it is when a couple of guys from the Ukraine met be at a rest area on interstate 5 near where the ferry lets out. Cash only of course.

I took the body and the pickup bed off now that I have the adjustments that I needed for the bed.

I made some repairs to the firewall.

Also, I began work on these filler panels between the body and bed. They are reproductions and need a lot of tinkering so a ways to go yet.

LOL I thought it must be por 15 or something high tech. What will the final finish be? Gloss black or something more imaginative? I only use oil based primer on everything. Just did my tonner's floors with heavy coat of rustoleum rusty metal primer with a brush. We think alike.

I will use this same product line. The fenders and running boards etc will be black and the body will be maroon; satin finish.

I use a small sponge roller out on the flat and a brush when needed. It levels out well so brush strokes aren't noticed.

You can either pay for shipping or pay for replacement parts, welding and bodywork supplies!
That's what trailers are for, you go after them.

Oooh, the cup brush on a grinder. Those things scare me. I always pick wires out of my belly when I use one. Very effective though.

One of the body blocks was burned due to a welding job at one time:

So I added a new piece of wood to repair it:

Old growth hard maple glued to farmed oak.
