Oil filter problems

We think we have the transfer case leak finally beat, but I cant tell as the Motorcraft oil filters are leaking at the rolled edge, and throwing oil all over the bottom of the truck. There is a bad batch of them out there so becareful, I have had 2 and both leak. several others in the superduty forum are also complaining.

Bummer! This is why we can't have nice things. Like things that don't leak.

How are K&N filters on these trucks (do they even make them for these trucks)? I had an extremely bad experience with them on my motorcycle.

Hand tighten the filter only! If you use a wrench, it could split open. Not pleasant!

Got an update on my Transfer case, they finally decided I was right and are replacing it. Been fighting them on it since November.
