had a bad start to a good day, but all worked out well in the end.. on the way over one of my tires turned into a oval i thought the whole truck was coming apart.. but after i put the spare on it rode like a new one.. then i see rays blue chevy sitting on the side of the road.. he broke a shock and it was dragging on the road, had a hard time getting the shock off the car with no tools.. got that fixed good enough to go and finally made it to alans.. i was too late to see the actual car crush, seen the video so that was good.. alan had a good bar-b-que going, got to see a few friends and all was good with the world ..

yea like dave said it sounds like a float..i guess i should of got a new one since my float scale is missing and i was just guessing if the float was good or not.. i dont think it would be a fuel pressure problem since it has a brand new fuel pump on it... but i sure wont say that it is not the problem.. stranger things have happened

Most likely the float then. I've run into carb flooding after a new pump before so its not out of the question.

 

It wasn't there yet. Afterwards I was in visiting mode and forgot to take any more.

Man! What can I say? Today was great! Thanks everyone for coming out! Dave, I can't say enough about the awesome shot you got. I am SOOOooo happy I don't have to thrash to put a new body on the truck for the open house in two weeks. I don't think it could've gone much smoother. Again, thanks to all who showed up and made the day great. Sorry I missed you, Lee. I plan on going for the record at the Holiday Hotrod show in December.That will be on black top at the E-Plex. I'll try to pick better cars that don't fold like a taco in water next time.

Alan congrats on the "pile drive" today, looking forward to you setting the new record in Dec. We'll be there, and it was great to see everyone again.

After I got back home, I picked up Penny and we hit the Bolivar square cruise in and sat and chatted with Larry and his wife Pat for awhile. Only 4wd there. Ol silver is going there next month.
