Between security film, tint, Jimmi Jammers, and a good alarm, it tends to ward off the would be thieves unless they're that determined.
Jimmi Jammers kept someone out of my '05 December 2015. They destroyed the lock, but because of Jimmi Jammers, they never got in and I'm good with that. Mine is FBI/CIA black and now has tinted windows; People often mistake it as such too. My wife worked in a Section 8 apartment complex that Homeland Security and the FBI frequented (long story). As soon as I'd pull in, the streets would clear. I didn't know why until she told me after, lol!
As for suggestions for moving, the weather is great in The Great State of Texas with plenty of real estate to build out in the country and it's more than acceptable here to shoot a thief.
God Bless Texas!
Right on
Sucks to hear about your truck getting broken into.

I connected my reverse lights to my stock trailer so I can see where the hell I am backing at night...
On sale at Northern Tool for $25
Mounted about 30" off the ground
Added a new grounding point to the rear....
...and another ground to the front near the hitch.
Tapped into the reverse lights, and added weather-resistant spade connector.
Results for $35 total cost...$25 for lights and $10 for wire.

Well, The Ex is still sitting in the driveway, clean. I think I can finally change the snow tires out for the summer wheels/tires with the temps supposed to be in the 40s.
I pulled the Oldsmobile out of storage, good thing I did too the roof of the container was sagging in about 1 ft or more due to the heavy snow load. Last year at this time I was driving it around with the top down...not this year!
I've been wanting to add Rigid DOT fog lights but could not decide how I wanted to mount them, well a customer of mine who has an excursion has a set-up I think I like. This would allow the hooks to still be used and place the lights in a good spot.

Isn't there the reverse lead in the 7 pin connector? I have been wanting to do this with a couple of our trailers for years now. Nice job!
I was surprised that that tandem axle stock trailer is using the 4 pin connector and not the 7 pin, surge brakes maybe?
The center reverse pin in my 7 pin doesn't seem to have power to it when in R, were they actually wired up from the factory or should I be looking for a fuse or relay that may be blown or missing?
When I bought the trailer a few years ago, it had the 4 pin on it. It has electric brakes on the rear axle, but they are not hooked up. Someone cut the connector off, so I suspect there was a problem with them and they didn't want to fix it. I may look into putting the 7 pin back on there.
Good Excursions are like good women.
They are nearly impossible to find and if you do luck into one, you need to hold onto it!
Maybe the EX that used to belong to the king of Jordan is still bouncing around on eBay. Royalty needed reliability, thus they choice a V-10.
