The optimist sees the glass as half full.
The pessimist sees the glass as half empty.
The engineer sees the glass as twice as big as it needs to be.
The happy DIY'er sees the glass as having room for vodka!
I just see that the glass either has some in it or it's empty, I'm trying to determine out my category.
block prepped for cleaning, plenums will fit,01 HPOP reservoir is on.
engine has AB injectors.
can my ECU be tuned to work with these?
everything else looks straight forward
OK, that's a '97 block you say? What plenums do you have on it there? They look like 2" holes but it could be deceiving. I look forward to hearing a definite answer on AB vs AD injectors but I THINK that they are interchangeable.
Edit: And what is that nipple for on top of that plenum? Mine don't have that.
those plenums are for the 97,the nipple is for the non gated turbo. 2" plenums
I have the 3"ers but I wanted to steam clean the block first.
AB's are split shot sticks, so im pretty sure sure they will be ok,
just looking for conformation
They will be fine. The question has been asked many times. Same if they were AD injectors, they work with AB tunes.
thanks man, truth be told, I have been dealing with mechanical injection in diesels and I got them down, I think but these electronic diesels still have me twisted.
its not like gluing steel together lol,
ill eventually get up to par!
Sorry late to the party, but that marmon clamp at the collector to baby's butt is backwards. Not going to affect function, but oriented as it is I don't think you can get a socket on it without removing the engine. Hope I'm wrong. New bellowed uppies should not need attention for a long time anyways.

was just for mock up, I took the turbo and uppies off for the install, but atleast the top of the uppipes are bolted in..lol
thanks for the heads up, ill definitely pay attention to that when they go back on.

That was an astute observation on the part of aawlberninf350. It's self explanatory when installing it in the engine bay.
