Pretty much :-) bought it at Costco a few years back. I flashed it at my wife on the far side of the store. Nearly blinded her in broad daylight

I've got the same on all my vents Roy. Make sure you get the optional bug screens to go with them. Keeps out bugs, debris, and helps a little with rain. These aren't as good as the ones that are rain proof but do vent better. On a previous rig, I had the ones that were rain proof. I left the vents open through a hurricane once. Not a drop of rain inside. However, the tighter mesh screens they employ is why that allow less air through.

Oh, and you'll need a tube of Dicor to seal the mounting screws.

Roy and Rodney, will these fit the fantastic fans with rain sensors on them? The reason I ask is that my vents open up a lot higher than what is pictured. I believe they go up farther than 45* to almost 90*. I'm not actually positive of this as this is the first camper I've had with auto/rain fans. If you aren't sure, I'll play with my vents this weekend and let you know. If they do work, I will be buying a couple of these as they will keep the sun off of the vent cover and also keep them from cracking too soon..

Yes they will work. All power open/close fans have a sensor that stops motion when it senses resistance. So, when you have covers like these on, your fan will open as normal and when it contacts the cover, it will automatically stop there.

HHmmm... a few reviews say that they are not compatible with the powered ones as the motors still try to push up the vent when it meets the cover..
BUT, lots of others are satisfied....think I'll go with your recommendation Rodney! I really want one for the bath as we use it much more than the kitchen.. But at that price!!

Yes, they still try to push up for a second or two. You hear the motor begin to strain, then it shuts off. I've had them on all my vents on this trailer and on my last toy hauler too. Both of which have two power lifting vents. No worries. I even called Fantastic Vent about this before ordering for the first RV and was assured that all their power open vents have the auto shut off to prevent damage.
