I guess you have a point, but if you got rid of the stang you would have more money for the truck also..LOL
not gonna happen... stangs my baby... ive wanted one longer than i did a f350... lol.. its my first new car.. and still way more reliable than the truck is.. ntm only has 45K miles on it...
3.9.. but yep.. 6rs.. its pretty peppy for a 6 too... have kept up with a few big mouth GT's lol they couldnt believe i paced em for as long as i did...
You have one of them there fancy cars too dont ya Craig?
I've had a few Mustangs, all 5.0s. Looking to get a 99-04 that I can track. I saw one recently on Rt. 2, 2000 GT, manual, body was pretty ugly, exhaust was pretty much all autozone pipe sections and clamps, the tail lights were tinted with a rattle can and the body wasn't masked (i hardcore LOLd there), and the interior was ****. Perfect race car. Strip it down to metal inside, cage, driveway paint job, new filters and fluids, and throw it on the trailer. Whatever breaks gets replaced with performance upgrades, 'race car parts'. Then I realized I have nowhere to put a trailer and resumed bummed out mode. That'll be the first purchase after the house.
I put EBC pads and stoptech rotors in the GFs acura and she said she almost put herself through the windshield on the first panic stop lol. So now when she needs something done, she feels the need to explicitly ask me "if I'm installing race car parts on her car". hahaha she knows me too well.
It was kind of hard to explain why gauges were needed to get better fuel mileage - she almost got me there. My answer was that i can monitor the engine better, thereby using less fuel. I don't think she totally bought it.

I hear ya on the space. I have wanted to get a project car for a while. Only problem is I can only fit in a Cobra kit car or a motorcycle
I used to develop and fabricate custom parts for the FFR kits, worked for Mike Forte in Burlington. He's in Framingham now.
I made a custom front mount battery bracket for a 351w powered MK3 (I think it was MK3), and a slew of custom caliper brackets for all sorts. I'd make a prototype, then his machine guy would make a bunch. Mainly to take junkyard brakes off of all sorts of cars and have an easy bolt on kit for buyers. Some guys liked to keep in in the family, so we had every mustang brake kit, and even got into C4 and C5 corvette brakes. That was a sweet job.
Sounds like a cool gig. That is a job that needs alot of skill. I'm surprised you goy out. Machine work doesnt pay as well ?
The guy was difficult to work for, and that wasn't my only job - I did a lot of shipping parts and ran the website, and counter sales, and tech work out in the shop - kinda everything. And I wasn't paid well at all.
But I did get a sick discount on parts, and he's a ford racing dealer.
