cdr valve

cdr valve

hello all am in the process of replacing blwn head gaskets in my 1994 ford f250 non powerstroke 7.3 ltr non turbo diesal but i need a newe cdr valve , cannot find one listed anywhere on line / tried all kinds of search terms etc
ford motors may have it but need to no what the part number is before i spen 100 bucks on something that may not be what i nee any ideas wud be well recieved thank u

You can try cleaning yours if you think it doesn't work correctly. Soak it in gasoline for a few hours, and once in a while, take it out, shake it, dump it out etc, and let it soak some more.


Then let it AIR DRY, do NOT blow compressed air through it, you will blow the diaphram.


Also to test if it works correctly, on the top part of it, there will be a very little vent hole, put your mouth on it, and stick you finger in the bigger hole where the connects to the back of the intake, and blow, you should feel the diaphram move inside with your finger, if it doesn't move, it is bad.


It is a Ford/International dealer part only, and not cheap.

yes i tried all that and there is like no diaphram in it air move freely thru bot ways but wheree can i find one i wanted to see a pic on line but find nothing. thanks Jerry

yes i see that/ and appreciate /cause i diidnt ckeck blowing thru therebut thru the bottom to the back soooo/ but i see ures has a short tube on bottom does it mount to the valve cover/ min has about a three inch hose the same size dia. but goes into the lower intake gasket down below / thas why i wanted a pic before ordering so i get the right one/ thanks will check it again and go from there/ jerry

Yes they have a 3" hose that attaches to the bottom. The one pictured doesn't have the hose.

It's a pain because we all call it a CDR but Ford and International do not. Here's the Ford PN: e3tz-6a665-a

I bought one about a year ago from Tousley Ford (Sponsor here, I believe) for $44 or so, and that included the gasket/o-ring.
