Remove the return Power Steering (PS) line at the PS pump. Have the fluid from pump drain out into a drain pan. Plug the return pipe or run a long hose from the pipe up near the valve cover where the hose is above the PS pump. Then refill the PS pump with PS fluid, and have the return hose pointed and empty the old PS fluid into drain pan. Have at least 3 quarts of PS fluid nearby. With PS cap removed, start the engine and keep refilling the PS pump with PS fluid, the old PS fluid will drain out and the New PS fluid will circulate into the PS unit. Never let the PS pump run out of PS fluid or you will then need to bleed out the PS system. Turn off engine before the PS Pump runs out of PS fluid. Reconnect the PS return line onto the PS pump. refill PS pump to the correct PS level.
