dually bed
Does anybody on the east coast have a dually bed in good shape thats for sale? or know where I can find one? I've posted ad's on craigslist and went to junk yard, I do not know where to grab one, I miss having a regular pickup bed and would like to take off the flatbed on the truck if the cost is not to much also if anyone on her may want to trade there bed for mine I am all ears, its a black omaha standard flatbed 9ft long dont know width

Too bad you're on the wrong coast. A friend of mine is parting out a 94 CC DRW.

If your truck came from the factory a cab and chassis the bed won't be a bolt on job. The frames are different. Not saying it won't fit, just that it won't be a simple six bolt job.

First step here, measure the truck frame rails at the back.
34" from outside to outside, cab and chassis truck 37.5" from outside to outside, left the factory as a pickup. |
Where are you located?
I have one here in Florida thats in decent condition. It has one cracked fender but is otherwise solid. Ive been looking for a nice flatbed, so Im in an opposite situation as you. |
There was one on CL in south jersey in the Hammonton area but he wanted like 1200 for it.

I've got a pair of dually fenders here that need a home!

alright guys I found a dually bed with a working tailgate! in beautiful condition, the guy only wants 200 bucks for it, only crapper is that it is white, two toned with black, I still need to go measure my frame rails I hope that its 37"

I need to do the same find a bed for a dually f450 and modify it.

My incomplete has no issues with a bed bolting right up, so I don't think you'll have an issue.
EDIT: dang, this thread is old... |
stock beds are for looks.
utility/flatbed/dump beds are where its at.:D |
Plan here for one is to become a dedicated snow truck, when it's done, it won't have a bed, just a v-box salter mounted to a frame as needed, and a set of wrap around fenders of some sort for the rear wheels.
There will be a toolbox mounted somewhere, and some brackets etc to carry a few miscellaneous things such as shovels, and a bucket for hand treating walks and the like. Minimum weight to allow maximum cargo weight and be legal, ease of access for maintenance and washing up, and no box to get in the way of anything. |
