You should have a label on your door with VIN, axle codes and other codes. Post the axle codes or a picture of the whole thing. What exactly do you need help with? Just figuring out what you have? A repair? |
Maybe I missed it, or it wasn't specified, but what about the front axle on a '65 f-100? I did see that model, but not the front/rear additional info. Thinking about putting an '89 F-150 front axle (Dana Spicer D44?) into the '65.
I should say, the 65 is not 4x4, so the thought is to take the transfer case and front axle off the 89 and put on the 65. Will it work? |

1968 f350
I am restoring a 1968 f350 dually flatbed and it is 2wd so I am converting it to 4wd.
it already has a Dana 70 rear 4:10 having hard time finding something that will fit would it be ok to go with Dana 44? |

if i remember correctly, the 68 used the D-44 with a closed knuckle spindle.
