Bellhousing??
I need to swap a zf5 trans into my truck All I can find are gas zf5's, If I can get a diesel bellhousing can I use the gas version?

The zf5s have the bellhousing built into them, like an auto tranny. You need a zf built for a diesel.

and 4x4 did ur e4od die on u

well that kinda sucks. Guess Im expanding my search to 100 mile radius.
My E4OD decided it wanted to permantley puke trany fluid all over the road and it **** out drive 1 and 2 all at the same time.:-jammin |
get a t19 if u cant fimd a zf5

A 4x4 will be hard to find, it has to be a diesel, but it doesn't matter what transfer case was behind it.

If you are going from auto to standard, you need to find a place to get everything all at once. I just bought a 92 2wd ZF5, and cannot use it on my truck. my truck is a 91 and even tho its a 2wd, it used a 4wd tranny and used the transfer case for an optional PTO setup. So I need to repair my transmission or find an earlier 4wd ZF.

Im looking for a trans period Id like the zf5 for the OD feature though.
