Bilstiens with 2.5" level

I am looking at getting a 2.5 inch leveling kit, I also need new shocks, does anyone know which Bilstiens to use for this application? Thanks

You want shock part # F4-BE5-6246-H6

Thanks for the help.

6246s are rear shocks for 1-3" of rear lift (used with 3-6" front lift).

With 2.5" leveling systems it depends on what type of leveling system it is.
You'd either use the 0-1" fronts or 1-3" fronts.
I'd do the 0-1" rears either way.

Last month i installed a 2.5 leveling kit from Tuff Country and before i installed the kit the front was 2.5 inches lower then the rear(thats why i used a 2.5 kit)after the install of the kit it is now 2 inches higher then the rear which gave me a lift of over 4 inches now the rear squats down so i have to lift my rear 2 inches to level the truck which comes to the question, which shocks do i need.BTW i will use the factory 4 inch rear blocks from a F-350,Is there a shock part # for the factory lift.Hope i didn't confuse anyone.

I have a 2 inch shackle kit on mine and it sits level, but when I hook up my camper, it drops in the back so i,m going with the F-350 blocks also, thanks to a FTE member here I should have them on by weeks end..we'll see. I went with the regular heavy duty Bilstiens, no lift, just replacements. I don't have the part numbers off hand..

Your right, sorry about that. So it must be the BE5-2818-H0?

That's a 0-1" 5100 yellow body blue boot.

If it's a hanger and shackle 2.5" it would be a A463 which is a 1-3" shock silver body, black boot.

And there is a 5125 shock (generic valving, silver body black boot, 1yr warranty) you can get that's the same length as the 2818 if you don't like the yellow and blue.

Of course the Zinc and CAD finishes due rust if left untreated in areas where they use road salt.

What is the normal life span of the Bilstiens? I have some that are about four years old and they seem to be worn out. Of course my springs are also done so there is more stress on the shocks without the springs helping.
