Help, Hard Shifts - ABS Light - No Speedo

okay im having serious issues with my 96 in my sig. Recently my ABS light has been coming on intermitently and sometimes the speedo fluctuates or quits working, shutting the truck off and restarting made the ABS light go off and everything go back to normal. Today the ABS came on and stayed on and the speedo won't work at all, shutting the truck off and restarting no longer solves anything. cleaned RABS sensor and still no improvement..... any other quick or cheap checks before i buy a new POSM and RABS sensor??? Thanks

Try a new RABS sensor first...then look for bad wiring between the RABS.....then go after the PSOM.

Replace rear sensor.

ABS light says RABS sensor is the most likely culprit.

Update

Changed the RABS sensor and fixed a chaffed wire....still get ABS light but got speedo back. What is my next move?

You may have to get the codes cleared for the light to go out. As long as the trans shifts right motor on.

my friend had a similar problem on a 99f250, i think it might have ended up being wheel sensors? not sure worth a look, i think that;s what it was. good luck

No wheel sensors on these rigs. Or at least most of them.

All fixed!!!

Tonight i worked for about five hours checking continuity from the RABS sensor to the RABS data plug and found that the last three feet of the red w/ pink tracer wire at the RABS sensor was corroded. Spliced in a new wire and have been good to go so far. Thanks for all your help
