62 to 66 Cab questions
I had a bad winter here in CT, a noce ole Icestorm came thru and a tree fell on my barn where i was storing my 66. it pretty much destroyed my cab and front clip, cracked the bellhousing from a branch piercing thru the cab. My old highschool buddy has a parts truck a 62, and doesnt need the cab? what are the differences between the two, will the 62 fit on my 66 or am i just limited to 65 and 66 cabs only?

sorry to hear the bad news.... the 61 to 64 cabs are not the same as the 65-66 the floor is different, the roof line is different, the frame to cab mounts are different, (on the front of the cab) probly more stuff as well. you may want a 65 to 66 cab so everything will bolt right up without any problems.
good luck with it. |

good luck with it. The roof panel is the same 1961/66, only the drip rails are slightly different on 1965/66's, using different joint clips. The back of cab sheet metal is the same 1961/66 except for Uni's. The doors are the same 1961/66 except for Uni's. All the glass is the same 1961/66. The rubber cab mount insulators are the same: 1964/66 F100/250, 1967/72 F100/350. The only real difference between the cabs is the firewall and the floor pan. |
