Do a f-350 brake upgrade!!!
 

Juust have to say I did the f-350 brake upgrade and my goodness that is the way the truck should have come from the factory. I can lock up my 38 swampers.:-jammin

What parts did you change?

1978 f-350 rear wheel cylinder. 1978 ford thunder bird front calipers. 350 booster and master. It takes a little work to get all the fittings correct. If you google "f-350 brake upgrade bronco" you will find some good info.

Dirty D, I agree with the upgrade. I've already done the 84 Bronco, and now that the rear cylindrs and MC on the 78 Bronco are leaking I plan to do it also. The booster is a direct bolt-in, very simple. I had to use a different size fitting on one of the line (rear, I think) for the MC on the 84 F-350 parts, but I was replacing all the lines anyhow. I'm looking into this brake upgrade since my calipers are seizing and my brake booster is going out. (What better time?) I had a question on the fitment of the lines to the Thunderbird calipers with the TTB. From what I've heard, there's clearance issues between the calipers and the steering knuckle and some people have a bit of grinding to do. How did you run a brake line to the calipers on the '84?

I ran a single line to the center of the engine crossmember ,then a braided steel line to the axle to a tee. From the Tee, i ran hard lines out to both knuckles, then standard hoses to the calipers. I plan to swap out the standard hoses for some more braided steel hoses that i just ordered, with a -AN adapter on the calipers. JSM84

The adapter on the calipers is the part I'm curious about. Do you a part number and/or pictures of the caliper/brake line connection?

Don't have a pic or part number, but will see if i can find one. It's just a straight -3AN to 3/8"NPT adapter with a copper washer. JSM84
