1/4 mile times?

I am curious what kind of 1/4 or 1/8 mile track times you guys have. I know none of us are super fast but just for fun I would like to see your times, mods and what your truck weighs. Just give as much info as possible.

I have not been to the track but using the Scan Gauges performance tracker which does 1/4 mile time I am right around a 15.93 at 84 mph. I have only done about 4 runs so I am still tinkering with the process. Not to mention I am doing this on public roads so I need to be careful!

The truck weighs about 7900-8000 pounds. Mods are intake, exhaust, Junk Diablo chip (thats changing soon!), 17 degree HPOP, AD split shots, 6.0 IC

So let see what you have

I have a 99 but it went 10.13 on the 1/8th. Middle of july with temps about 95 or so.

Do you know if there is a way to convert accurately 1/8 mile times to 1/4 mile? Seems like I have heard of calculators that do it but I don't know.

here's mine from a year ago..

mods on the truck were 10k mod, intake, stock downpipe into an empty cat box and 5" stacks, LUK single mass, and an FPR shim. i think that was it... I figured out later on that i was letting out of it a little too early. LoL. first time to drag race so i didn't know that i was supposed to wait for the light to change colors before letting off. haven't been back since we did injectors but that will come soon

Gob did you see that SD at the end of the night with the 108mph pass take out that Dudge that was running so quick in the day?

Gobstopper909 09-15-2008 09:26 PM

the one with the cummins conversion? i was at the beer garden after i raced a few times so i might have missed a few runs :-drink

ps.. there was a single cab that i seen staged but missed his run. had twin oil, hybrids, ceramic topped pistons, custom cam, etc.. lots of goodies... black and charcoal two tone

Towmanjbo 09-15-2008 09:30 PM

Not sure it was a grey crew cab truck. Didn't see it up close only from the stands. I had just gotten there when the '72 CAT F-truck was staging and didn't get to see that run that must have been a blast!

c00nhunterjoe 09-15-2008 09:31 PM

i ran a 17.0 with a 3.?? 60 foot. horrible, the truck can do better but i cant launch it hard. i need traction bars to keep the rear from coming out from under it.

14.7k icp
4.7k eot
1705 sc
6.0 ic
4 inch ex (at the time)

Gobstopper909 09-15-2008 09:37 PM

Tow, that was him!! he had a powerstroke nation sticker on there. yup ran 12.3 all day. did you run yours?

RubberDuck 09-15-2008 09:39 PM

15.2 in No.3 on nitrous. My 60ft was 3.2 cuz I kept spinning the tires off the line. I'm certain there was a mid 14 in it. Haven't gotten Rockee to the track yet.

Towmanjbo 09-15-2008 09:58 PM

Nah maybe next year this was my first time there and I didn't know I could. I car, strike that, truck-pooled with my buddy from work.

Cuda_jim 09-16-2008 07:04 AM

Jim...........What in the world is that all about??!!! How have you resisted PMS all these years? Just cause you got go fast cars doesn't mean you can't have a go fast (relative term I know) truck!

Times all look good guys Keep them coming.

Joe you don't need bars you just need to get that T-case fixed!! Whats the hold up! 4WD launches are much better!
