Stand-pipe question

looks like I'm going to build an Apple-Turnover. Supposedly drains better due to bowl shape on the top (bottom). Anyway thinking of installing a stand pipe as a precaution, how far should this go up? thanks

I guess that all depends on how big the tank is. (tall/wide)
I use a hot water tank to cook in but then I pump the bio while it’s still warm into a 55 gallon drum to settle in, that way I can start cooking another batch while the first one settles and my cooker stays clean.
I then let my bio settle for 12 hours or so before I pump the Bio off the top of the glycerol using a 3/4 ‘ pipe attached with a hose to my pump, I stop pumping just before reaching the glycerin. (This way I make sure there’s no glycerol in the Bio).
I pump the settled Bio to my methanol recovery condenser tank and recover the methanol before cleaning with magnesol in another drum set up with a mixer.
I then drain the glycerol out of the bottom of the tank and pour it in a drum to save until I have around 30 to 40 gallons then I recover the methanol from that.

that sounds like a good idea. Just trying to get by with fewer tanks due to limeited space. I think a cone bottom tank would be easy to use if I went thtat route. thanks
