Longhaultransport what is the air dam upgrade for? It would have anything to do with the snow clogging the air filter?

longhaultransport 03-05-2008 02:31 PM

Don't think it's for snow........I think it's for better fuel mileage.

I have a job1 truck without it, would the holes in the under side of the bumper or where it mounts be there.

You have a job 1, which is to say you have the "old" one. The larger air dam was part of the Job 2 upgrades. [FYI] It is my understanding that the larger air dam attachment holes and bolts are different. Job 2 air dam as shown below.

The holes are the same - they line right up - perfectly.
You will need additional bolts. The small AD is held w/ 4 bolts and some plastic clips. Replace the clips w/ bolts and you are good to go.

Thanks longhaultransport, I just ordered one for my 2WD which is a build 2 but has the short air dam

My front end is completely open and I get 21mpg highway at 70mph with no power mods.

OK, who is going to find out if this can be added to the older 05-07 front bumpers? The bottom edge of the 05-07 and 08+ bumpers looks pretty similar if you ask me.
