How to bench bleed M/C?

I've looked at archived posts but can't find much help. How do you bench bleed a master cylinder? Its going on my 66 f100.Thanks

hook up a set of short lines to the fittings, and run the line ends back into the reservoir.
clamp the master gently into a vise, and with a screwdriver or pin-punch, pump the master till no more air comes out of the lines.

i prefer to hook it up in the truck, and pump it in the truck with the pedal. once all the air is out, then i will hook the lines from the truck up and finish bleeding the brakes.

It is much better to try and use something with a rounded end rather than a screwdriver.
