New Exhaust

I just put the new MBRP exhaust , dual exit! It added some excellent torque and horsepower!! I feel it, right away. I don't however, hear a difference in the noise. Any suggestions as to why ? By the way, what would you guys in the USA pay for this new exhaust? It cost me 1200 here in Ontario.

Well good to hear well i dont think diesels get really loud someone correct me if iam wrong but most people straight piped it glad you like your new exhaust

The dpf acts like a muffler. The 7.3 and 6.0 powerstokes are much louder than stock when straight piped.

What kind of exhaust did you put on it? Do you have a 6.4? Congrats on your exhaust, but I'd like to see more of a description as to what you actually did :-X22

Yes a 6.4 ! 304 dual exit.tol. 2008 f350 SD fx4 king ranch... 5" pipe. 6'' tip, chrome insert billet grills..line-x ... 22" kmc hoss with 35" toyos a/t ..... 2" l;eveling kit...

I ran a custom set up on mine...... 4" from the DPF back to a 5" tip and it cost me half what the MBRP set up goes for. Big diffrence with power, but sounds the same. I only wish it could be louder.

I traded my 99' in on an 05' King Ranch 4x4 short box with the 6.0 psd and has the high idle set up on upfitter #4 and ebrake on. I just put a magnaflow turbo back s.s.exhaust sytem on it yest with the dual layer 5" s.s. tip and with G.S.T. and P.S.T. for the useless British Columbia Government ( God I Miss Alberta and no sales tax! ) the total cost was $1005.00 Canadian.
They welded the connections and it is a nice neat clean install. It was snowing real hard yesterday got about 5 inches so i never got a real chance to put it though its paces yet, but driving around in 4 wheel drive it seems some turbo lag is definately gone.
The guideline indicator for fuel economy seems to be better as well, but i always do the fuel miles check the old fashioned way with a calculator and fuel used vrs. distance travelled. Was getting pretty consistant 19.5 m.p.g. empty with it with the stock exhaust system.
The Canadian imperial gallon is approximatley 1 us quart bigger than the U.S. gallon, so our mileages might seem higher in Canada to the U.S.A. guys I beleive that the inboard fuel mileage indicator is also calibrated in U.S. Gallons.

I was told by a pretty reliable source, that RPM outlet sells their own exhaust "Motoblue" that is basically the same exhaust as MBRP for way less money...

I was just noticing again today, about the only time I notice an increase in noise and little more pep to the pedal is when the truck is in regen. Anyone else expierence this?
