With the truck in my sig... i can leave 25 footers ... POSI at that... i even hit second gear and then it finally bogged out.... But that was only after the chip... Oh ya and there was a lot of smoke... haha... GO FORD

Yeah that is a sweet video my truck can light em up so easily its not even funny and it dont got a limited slip but somehow i can leave 2 black marks instead of one and im 100% sure its not a limited slip though haha

duggyb 06-26-2007 11:24 PM

BURNSTOUGHFORD 06-26-2007 11:56 PM

Heres my posi's with my truck...

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t82/BurnsMGT/DSC00385.jpg

and right when the marks start to go back towars the left is when i hit second gear... (with an automatic) and it still pulled another several feet....

that was the 93 octane tune and i only held the brake long enough for the RPM's to let the tires rev up past 4k... then she pulled the rest... the motor was in its sweet spot and the smoke was imense rolling from the tires...i was very impressed with my EDGE.. and my 4.6l...

96sherm 06-27-2007 08:05 AM

thats pretty impressive...what rear end are you running Burnsfordtough??

BURNSTOUGHFORD 06-27-2007 09:05 AM

Its just the 8.8.. with a 4.6l in it...but next weekend its getting a 5.4l }> that will be custom tuned... and using the 4.6l higher stall torque converter ought to make it impressive...

with the right amount of brake and the right amount of gas(at the same time) you can leave as much rubber as you want. The clutch throws a wrench in it, but it can be done (see above LOL) I HAVE to hold the brakes for my little V6 to pull smoke like that. And that was after the tires were already warm. I've left some VERY long patches tho out on back roads....I'da probably kept going there if I wasn't to the end of my driveway LOL.

I did something like that the other day in my 97 F150 4.6 auto. Mine is bone stock. I did sit and let 'em roast before letting off the brake. I only have the one wheel wonder. Still impresive to see though. I did this with 200k on the clock. Probably wont do it much anymore as I don't want to break anything.

scottie2hottie 06-27-2007 10:39 AM

mine has 150k im doing it every time i drive the truck LOL

ATC Crazy 06-27-2007 11:32 AM

I used to do (attempt because of the 32" tires and 3.55LS) burnouts when I got my truck. Now, after putting a $750 set of 33's on the truck...I dont do them anymore!

Well of course...but the problems with these trucks is that in stock trim and and auto they normally wont get the tires turning over on normal dry pavement... at least my truck wouldnt and my dads 01 screw with a 5.4l and a 4r100...

And that was all motor after they initially spin.... not as impressive when you hold the brake the entire black mark.... kinda like myne isnt as impressive as sombody who left marks like that with no brakes at all... lol
