2barrel carb on 4-barrel intake

will i be alright with the 2150 on a edelbrock 4barrel intake its 351m.
i cant get the holley to be consistant and when it runs good it suck the heck out of gas .

KubotaOrange76 04-05-2006 07:44 PM

it will be just fine with the adapter....youl love the mtrcraft 2bbl, one of the simplest and best carbs around

Those MR-Gasket adapters are horrible! You may have to make all kinds of mods and fill areas with JB weld to prevent leaks. It would be better to just drop a 1406 Edelbrock on it.

What intake are you using? If you have a 2-hole intake, you can use a good (not Mr. Gasket) two to 4BBL adaptor, but if you have a four hole intake, you're just setting yourself up for a major headache.

its just a 2 hole intake, ive found out about the mr. gasket adapters and i dont want to go edelbrock because its on an off road truck. thanks for the help.

edit will this work. 720-1933 @ jegs.com

That Mr-Gasket thing is the piece of garbage I was talking about above. Which manifold do you have, a two hole or a four hole??? You have said both now which is it???

KubotaOrange76 04-07-2006 09:27 AM

run a q-jet, they are just as good offroad as the mtrcraft....but you will have teh benifits of a 4bbl as well

for an adapter, try sum-g1406, or trd-2065, or mor-64966

those are part #'s from summit

f-4x4 04-07-2006 12:24 PM

i thought about runnung a q-jet but i was worried with the aspect of tunning it and the gas mileage. the intake has 2 holes in it. and will summit take my holley back.

ok i got the 2150 on but where the heck does the vacume advance and the pcv valve hose go.
hopefully the only 2 vacume lines in need besides the booster wich i have hooked on the manifold.

completly off topic but how many miles should i put on my motor before i take it to the woods.

thanks
matt

Check out the vacuum diagrams on the AutoZone website.

ok just alittle update i got the 2150 on there and drove it a few days and it started to pour fuel out of the throtle plate shaft and i missed the 4barrel power now im working on the quadra-jet but i lost all fire. its only firing when i let off the key switch and it has 10-11 volts at the coil. so i dont know ..... key switch???

anyway thanks for all the help.
