I guess I'm the only one who cook beef this way

Here is the recipe.

Buy the raw beef (or any other type of red meat).

Either chop it up or keep it whole

Put it on a dish.

Pour any seasoning you want on the beef, such as soy sauce, BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, ect...

Put it in the microwave for 2 hours, or 1 hour, depending on the size of the meat.

By that time it'll turn VERY hard.

Enjoy.

Hahahaha

I guess you've learned to like bad cooking or you've never had some good old fashioned Texas BBQ before. I like my meats cooked a little more than most, but cooked hard?

wlihntr 03-22-2005 04:53 PM

so basicly your making cornbeef jerky?

jdmorg 03-22-2005 04:59 PM

YES YOU ARE...is that really even a recipe? Good God man, go get yourself an iron skillet. You don't even really need to clean it and it takes 1/4 as long to cook a steak reeeeally well done. Heck, after awhile, you won't even need to season it. Do it for the cow at least.:-D

BASTE it, continually.
And cook it on a slow fire...
Turn that sucker and watch it
Keep a cooler handy so you don't git tired...

A barbeque is a special time
And a special thing to do
If you do up that sucker right -
Ain't no one fergit you...

(And that's the gods honest truth, isn't it?) :-fire

The bottom line key to fine; absolutely fork tender, falling apart barbequed meat - is never let it dry out. I learned that from "BIG DAVE" on Whilloughby Spit, Virginia.

"Cook it up slow - we got all day, boy..."

The very best way that I have found to cook meat is on a smoker with a lot of friends around. I'm a cabinetmaker so I have access to a boat load of hardwood. Saturday morning I fire the beast up and by 10:00 or 11:00 the people show up with their briskets and ribs. Let the fun begin!!

Cook? Beef!! Knock it's horns off, wipe it's butt and throw it on the plate!

crock pot and BBQ can't be in the same sentence, unless the crock pot is being used to keep the BBQ sauce warm....red oak and a smoker = BBQ

At least it does in Texas

It's better than the microwave :-rip
I agree, you can't get any better smoked ribs, brisket, sausage, ect.
But the crockpot isn't bad at all, kept me alive all thru college :-X14
Oh, I am from TEXAS! :-X22

Hey fellow Texan...don't get me wrong, I use a crock pot often. Mainly chickens or beans. Just love having a hot meal ready to go when I get home from work. Works great cooking all day.
