Reverse Sensing System
I m curious...Say, i decided to add tow package to F150 supercrew, does it comes with reverese sensing system?
Thanks! YEOW! |
Mine did not. They tell me that is an additional option.

reverse sense IS a seperate option. been driving trucks all my life and really thought it would be silly, but I got it to help my wife. Damn it really is a nice feature. When the tone comes on solid I am about 8" away from impact, and that is just close enough.

Same here.... it's was for my wife since she had backed our trooper into a rock (little damage.. me PO'd of course).
I actually LOVE it. 8 inches away, it becomes a steady beep. Of course, if you have to lower the tailgate, you will want to turn it off.. which is as easy as a touch of a button. Great option on my FX4. Ben |
Is it really that hard to LOOK? :-X24
On a truck you can see the corners of the truck, on a car its way different, so thats the only reason i accept it on CARS. |
objects in mirrors are closer than they appear ;) it was already there onthe truck we wanted and it does help out alot when i canna get really close to the wall when parking backwards and when leaving tight parking lots its sometimes hard to see the corners of the other cars.

Asinatra, when your wife is 4'11" its a really good option to have, that and adjustable pedals.

If you ever put a cap on, you'll really appreciate the sensors!

Damn, i dont think my FX4 comes with it..i m going to pick it up this Sunday at Jeff's work !
I m curious, can they add to truck ?? Thanks! YOMAN! |
When I was trying to decide between the Ford and the Dodge, I looked in to it, and did find severa after market back-up sensors. Don't have the specifics anymore, but you shouldn't have a problem if you just do a search online.

Okthanks...

Forget to add something..
Whats your recommended me to buy one? i dont need any fancy like $200 haha.. I have seen some selling for $50, even at pepboy has it for $50-60. I need your advice which brand is good? Thanks! YOMAN! |
Don't have any experience with the aftermarket - sorry!
|
Its hard for me to understand anyone not wanting the backup sensor on a truck. Of course, I drive mine in a downtown area and park inside a parking garage so the sensor isn't just nice, its essential. I don't think it offers much help for cars, but would still be nice.
If your truck is just for work and you drive in the country I guess it would be a silly option, but if you're a city fella like me, its necessary. For what it's worth, I don't think you'll save any money on a good aftermarket sensor and it may even be more expensive since they have to cut into the bumper cover (maybe even the bumper) to install the electronic eyes. |
