gas to diesel

Has anyone done a gas to diesel conversion? I have an '89 f350 crew cab with a 460efi. What all would be involved in swapping the same year 7.3 diesel for my 460. I also have the e4od tranny.

you pull the 460 out and almost everythig with it.

and drop that diesel in.

Wooooow! It takes a rocket scientist to figure that one out!

You will need to keep the donor truck close by and compare it as you are doing it. Let me tell you that a lot of the wiring is different, so you better know your wiring. You will need to get the front leafs off of the other truck because the 460 weighs less than the diesel, and it will sag with the extra weight. You will also need to change out the radiator core support to fit the bigger diesel radiator. Best advice yet, get a truck with a diesel in it from the start, and save yourself a lot of time and MONEY!!!
