OBD II Code Reader Question

I have a 2012 F-250 Super Duty with the 6.2L gas engine. Having some issue with starting/cutting out/dash Christmas Tree lights. Any suggestions on a good code reader so I can maybe try to determine what the heck is going on?

Thank you!

I've had good luck with the bluetooth readers on ebay for engine and transmission codes, and most all of them will display real time data while the engine is running.

For something like that, I would check the charging system voltage when it's running, and also battery connections.

bluetooth obd adapter like the obdlink-mx, and either torque pro, forscan, or both.

Ultra Gauge (google it) is a good device to check and clear codes + it does a lot more and is relatively cheap at around 80 bucks.

I am using the OBDLink MX+ with Forscan on an Amazon Fire.

When I got it, the OBDLink was $60, and the Fire was $35. Inflation happened. But at least Forscan is still free.
