Check that old thread of mine out

Nice!
I built the similar motor for the 94 pickup, but used the 3 bar head, the plugs are still angled on those.
I also used a different cam for more bottom end.
. still, it's only a 5.0.

Uh the 3bar gt50s don't have the dumb angle of the p I thought?
I was disappointed but honestly I never put more timing in it or checked a/f. The mustang cam in the heavy SUV might have not been ideal . The mustang cam is small tho.
I should have kept that bronco. It was so very nice and rust free.

Trying to find the motivation to go stab the mill back in...

3 bar heads have same combustion chambers, but the spark plugs are angled like efi heads, NOT straight in like the p heads, so they don't require special exhaust. They also don't have the chamber going through them for the A.I.R. pump, so no smog
1.7 roller rockers will give you some "cam" with the stock cam for about $100.
Mustang cam comes alive about 3 grand, trucks need the grunt, so you need bottom end. If you decide to build a 5.0, or 5.8 to play with in a truck, let me know, I have a few I played with ,and figured it out pretty good.
Even Tom listened to me on one of his 5.0 toys ( not that he will admit it)

Oh, yea you are correct. I forgot about those.

Well as of about 5 today It is alive. I ran it and got the coolant,ps,oil topped off and it moved it's self out side. Later I'll take it for a test drive maybe.

skuzzybucket 04-17-2019 08:22 PM

Cool. I like that truck. Would look good next to my Centurion Bronco. LOL
Oh, and that one is a C-350, it has a 460 in it.

Winning boys!!

A nice LOW 2wd 4door bronco would be BA😁

I'd totally rock that!

all like new! On to other fun projects!

Very nice!
Only thing I can see might bite you later is the vacuum juice can on the fender. It may or may not have rust holes in the bottom, Mine did when it got looking like that.
You'll know when you have your a/c on, and hit a hill, it goes to defrost as default

Grab one from a 93-96 5.8 truck, they're plastic

Also, lookin at your master cyl, you don't have the cruise control fuse recall. take your serial number over to ford, make sure, there is a pig tail harness with fuses that goes in there to keep gramps from catching fire

Jarrett Campbell 04-18-2019 03:45 PM

If that pigtail is the same on 3/4 ton trucks, I have one in my parts bin.

Lol, it's scheduled at the dealership for tomorrow at 1:15!!!
Yea it's needing done. There is no fluid intrusion that I can see so it's ok till tomorrow.
Drove it all around today and it is very well. Pulled the front seats and did some improvement.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-seat-fix.html

Just like that we did all along
Sits even better
Next a driver's side mirror, machine front rotors and swap in the LSD I have sitting here. I planned it for the falcon but that's gone and I need a pair of tires turning lol
