Anyone able to decode this and tell me the original engine front of engine is stamped 352 but unable to get to anything else yet. MY son and I are starting the rebuild of this 1976 f250 4wd and would love any feedback you could give. |
'76 4x4 would be 360, the only OEM option for an FE engine for that year 4x4.
Stand by for a full decode of the plate you posted And Welcome to FTE! |

Note: The engine has been swapped, it may be a 360, but it could also be a 352 or 390 or who knows. 1965/71 FE engines have a casting foundry mark of 352. Beginning in 1972, the FE casting foundry mark is a reverse 105. FE engines have 5 valve cover bolts per side. If it is an FE, you'll have to measure the stroke to determine what size it is.
