98 ford bus

Hello my friends! I'm new to these forums and looking for some help. I'm fairly new to diesel and own a 95 6.5 gmc k3500. I recently met someone on Craigslist that needs a 98 ford bus with the 7.3 fixed and is willing to give me a f250 pickup with the 7.3. I was hoping to get to know this engine and maybe get some help in the near future. I'm looking forward to getting to know my fellow diesel brethren.

The basic engines are the same but the DT444e as used in the medium duty trucks have a lot of different components bolted to them that get expensive quickly.

Yeah this guy has multiple generations if the 7.3 and was showing me how they are all alike. Thanks for the reply brother.

The no start flow chart doesn't seem to want to load for me, is there another source?

At the top of the first page of this forum.

My man. Thank you guys for being so damn helpful. This is a great forum and I may be here for the long haul

What is wrong with the bus?

Goatlord 10-11-2018 12:58 PM

Guy tells me it had a no start condition from sitting and a Craigslist guy came and supposedly worked at a diesel dealer. Seems legit, he installed a new pump, oring on the injectors, and even a whole new wire harness and fuse box amongst the other typical things like fuel filters, etc. This Guy apoarently just stopped showing up and left tools there, etc. So the wire harness has never been finished and to me looks like he was just about finished. Thats why I'm trying to sneak in at the last hour and finish it for essentially a free truck. I'll provide photos as I go along.

It sounds like he was throwing parts at it. Once the wiring is back together, just follow the flow chart. It will help save time, money, and frustration.

I got the same feeling. Yeah I plan on using the flowchart. Who made that? My hats off to you, you never find information so easily and so complete

Nate made it, DIY guy!
