6.8 V10 Twin turbo build begins

Got started on mock up of turbo kit. Managed to get pretty lucky and the stock manifolds will flip fairly easy, i had to massage the ac lines on pass side a bit (down) and on driver side the power steering reservoir hose needs to be zip tied down out of the way, so pretty easy.

Using a stock 6.0 intercooler, had to move my trans cooler to pass side to facilitate, otherwise its just drop in and bolt it up.

Managed to hack up the stock v10 midpipe and use it for the hotside, no need to use expensive race car parts here if you dont have to.

Waiting on gates to show up and then well get started on downpipes.

engine/trans will come out when i get done with this mock up and this should give me a change to powdercoat the cold side pipes and wrap the downpipes/and hotside where needed.

Im working on this in between customers sutff so its gona be a slow go.

I've never even seen a V-10 engine bay in real life, but that looks like a fuuuuuuun project!!! Lots more room when you don't need two batteries, I guess.

I used a E-350 Van battery box i scored off ebay and put battery on pass side frame rail under pass seat area, ill get pics of that later.

I have some 14 shelby rods and some forged pistons, Pac springs for heads etc. Prob do a little bowl work to heads, but not much since i elected to use stock manifolds. With the low RPM setup in this truck i dont see any reason for H beam rods, but well find out i gues. I figure if 8 holes can make 100HP a hole on those rods then 10 holes shouldnt have a relibility problem with making 60-75 HP each hole.

Ok in all my years here this is only the third thread I have subbed. Mad reps sent! I am super excited to follow this!

Managed to get started on one downpipe and almost finished the cold side from intercooler to the throttle body. I'm using a slot style meter from 07 mustang in a 3.5" tube. For the cold side I just grabbed scrap pieces I had laying around, wrinkle black Powdercoat will make it look better

Made some small progress, down pipes and charge pipes are almost done, next step is to build the exhaust. Dual 3 inch is gonna be tight by the axles and through trans cross member

Super cool! How much added HP are you expecting out of it?

Based off the baseline numbers I'm gonna guess she goes 460-500 rwhp and around 650-700 rwtq
Plan to start at 14 psi so usually get double or more on n/a numbers it was 240/390 with a tune so we'll see

Yeah hopefully we can keep it alive and make some decent power

Passenger side down pipe was by far most challenging. I also needed some short 45s on driver side and ended up reusing pieces of original y pipe so I pretty much used all of it except the little 2\" neck down pipe
