engine fuel filter stuck
 

My engine fuel filter is stuck. Ihave the new one in and seated but cant turn it in the housing. Can I remove the housing so i can work on it better 6.7 diesel of course

I had to use a large pair of channel locks to turn mine. Next time I'll spray some silicone lube on the body.

I lubed it with a bit of oil as i was doing a oil change at the same time dont have a large enough pair of pliers so thought of removing the housing.
I don't know if that will screw any thing else up.

Thanks 69cj Your reply got me thinking , I have a die cast machined oil filter wrench and it fit perfectly on the old filter. I used it and worked like a charm. Just have to remember it for next time. Got to go time to order more filters. Thanks again
