Not able to Watch gears changing while in Drive?
in my 6.7 ‘18 F350, I sometimes take a glance inside the vertical window on the right side of the circular tach on the left of the cluster screen to see the gears change. Yesterday I noticed I couldn’t see it. At first I thought it might be my polarized sunglasses. But later when I took the glasses off I still couldn’t see. What could I have done to eliminate that, and how can I get it back? |
Press the + button on the gear shift lever and it should magically re-appear.

are you referring to the tow haul button? |
And if you push the “-“ too many times you will lock out the higher gears. |

Mine does it while driving also.

I wanted to make sure I wasn’t manually changing the gears. I simply wanted to get a feel for the RPM shift points for the gears while in D. Thanks for the tips as I couldn’t find it in the manual— I’m sure it’s there somewhere. edit. I felt a little silly asking such a trivial question, but I’m trying to learn this truck ASAP . So thanks again. On my truck when I have the car in park and touch the “+” button nothing happens, but as soon as I move to “D”, the gears pop up. |
Don't feel bad. I asked the same question a few weeks ago. I also found that a lot of other people just found out about it or had also asked about it before I did.

Mine functions also when driving.
