1970 f250 defroster duct?
Looking for an aftermarket replacement/reproduction for a C7TZ-18A637-A (the left side). I'm guessing that NOS parts are scarcer than moon rocks.
Clardy was kind enough to squish mine flat when they installed the aftermarket A/C, and it didn't come out intact when I dropped the A/C to get access inside the dash. I need the defroster/defogger more than I need the air conditioning, so the A/C may come out entirely. |

Last time I checked 2.25 = 2 1/4 inch. I found mine on ebay for 32 for a pair.

The lower half of the right-hand hose has no arrow pointing to it. I'd think the actual information is fairly obvious... but whether that error has propagated into other areas of the system, I can't tell. I've picked up some 2 & 1/4 inch ducting and am going to improvise. BTW, my truck does not have the integral air conditioning, it has a Clardy add-on. When the Clardy was installed, they squished the original ducting flat. Hopefully, I'll be able to re-route the replacement ducting to avoid that problem. |

I don't see the "A" suffix on either part #. My guess is the only difference between the two parts is the length. I've installed many of these and the old ones were slightly crushed from the factory as it has to snake around the radio and ash tray.
Different lengths would seem to be a rational reason for different numbers. I can see where the longer part might supersede the shorter, in order to reduce the number of parts needed in inventory; it would probably work in either position. |
