Code P24A5 EGR Bypass Control Stuck -2011 F350 260,000 miles

I'm second owner. Bought the truck two years ago with 230,000 miles, and it's run like a top ever since. It still runs perfect, except the CEL light came on and it's throwing the P24A5 Code. That's the only code it's got, which from my google research is unusual.

My local Diesel mechanic wants to delete the EGR and DEF for $2k, but I'd rather fix the problem if it's something simple.

Done my research, but there's not much out there on this particular code.

Any thoughts on what the issue is and best way to handle it?

Did you run across this in your google searching?

This vacuum line is shared with the Wastegate Actuator on the Turbo inlet. Bottom line is, poor vacuum was impeding the PCMs ability to regulate the Wastegate position and thus MAP (DTC P1249). Also, the EGR Bypass was not opening, so overcooling of the EGR gas (DTC P24A5). $3.70 piece of new tube installed, and fixed. Ford wanted $17.00 for their tube, but it's made of crappy rigid plastic that cracks. If these codes come in together, first place to check are vacuum lines.

That was my post from PowerStroke forum I believe. But that was what happen to my 2011 F250. Incidentally, I noted on a 2016 at a more recent Auto show, that Ford relocated the EGR solenoid, and changed the vacuum tube between it and the EGR valve/actuator.
