What funnel do you use to fill the DEF tank?

Just wondering what others are using to pour in the DEF. I have arthritis in my wrists, so I need to use both hands to hold the jug of DEF. Does anyone have a funnel they can recommend that can sit independently in the tank / reservoir opening while I pour in the DEF?

Also, I've already looked into truck stops with DEF pumps, but there are not any near me. So that is not an option.

Thank you!

I use a transmission funnel. It fits in the filler neck perfect and allows for a quick fill with no spills.

If you buy the 2.5 gallon jugs they come with a hose that fits right inside the neck.

Go to the dealer and buy the Ford special-purpose filling hose. It has a vent tube which allows easy filling without over-filling. I paid less than $7 with tax for mine.

^^^ What he said.

+1. I bought that same filling hose from Amazon. The vent also speeds up the filling process, so you don't have to hold the jug up so long.

I don't know if you have any larger truck stops near by, but I typically just go through the truck fuel lane and get DEF at the pump.

I also go to the pumps, I hated using the jugs.

If you use a funnel be careful not to fill it to the top if you live in a cold climate. It needs some room to expand when it freezes.

+1 easier than holding the jugs and less likely to spill it on truck or you

Yes .. PM-27-N is the PN on mine.

The hose you get with that item is a generic fill hose and does not limit the amount of DEF you pour in. The includes an internal vent tube which allows faster filling AND stops the filling at the proper level. Over-filling your DEF tank has consequences.

Thanks so much, everyone! I appreciate the time you all took to respond to my post and help me out.

I will pick up one of those Ford nozzles for the DEF. I didn't even know they existed. Great info!
