Brian Bowers

Is there a member on this board named Brian Bowers?

The reason I am asking is he is one of my Facebook friends and it was announced today that he died. I don't know him personally, just someone who asked to be a FB friend some time ago. I would say a good majority of my FB friend are FTE members but with different handles we use I'm not sure who everyone is outside of FTE. I just wanted to see if he was a member here and if he was I thought we should all know about his passing. If you know Brian and he is an FTE member please let us know his FTE name. I've probably conversed with him here but I just cant connect the names.

Yes but he has been inactive for a long time Brian_B was his name. I surely hope you have been misinformed

I met brian years ago at the supernats at Knoxville. He is a great guy. I did read on his FB that he was having some problems

Back in the day he was a regular for Saturday Night Chat here on FTE

I was getting feed back from him on FB up until about a month or so ago

When I went to his time line his last post was April 11th. His FB friends indicate he has a lot of friends from this board.

I just figured I'd post because we've had a few "roll call" posts here to see who is still around. From what I could see on his FB page he's a few younger than me.

He had been fighting kidney problems - His transplant failed and he had to back on dialysis - It was a long running battle

Sorry to hear that...I have a friend that had a heart transplant a few years back, makes you think about how close to the end we all are.

Since this threat has sort of moved in this direction, I want to put my plug in for considering the gift of organ donation. Many of us have family, friends, or others known to us that were affected by the miracle of transplants. Give it some thought and sign up, if you so choose. Thanks.

Consider being a marrow donor as well.

First I heard of his passing was this morning. I knew he wasn't doing well with the kidney transplant and all, but it's still shocking and sad. I've chatted with him over the years on here, FTF, and on FB, even after he quit his regular posting on this site. What stood out to me, was that he kept his '56 F100 simple, and drove it daily, without the urge to completely hotrod it, like 99% of '56 F100 owners do, (to me it seems, at least).

RIP Brian_B

RIP
I remember Brian. I was just wondering the other day what became of him. I remember that his health was always a bit wonky.

Sorry to hear of his passing

Guys my understanding is Brian Bowers has passed. I gave Brian the lead on the 56' he ended up with. Him and his dad drove non stop from Arkansas to Sevierville, TN to buy it. As Kevin stated he was a very good guy. Godspeed my brother. Very sad moment.
