Dash Cam Vehicle Rollover
...happened about 10-15 minutes before I drove by...all three CHP officers, the Sheriff and the AMR rig passed me to get to the scene.
Lucky he didn't go over the causeway - it's a good 20 foot drop into a still-flooded area. Could have been much, MUCH worse. Front Cam: Rear Cam: |
Had me worried it was you!
Camera seems to work pretty good. |

BlackVue DR650GW Daylight - YouTube BlackVue DR650GW Night Footage - YouTube Unlike my ending upside down, I do not believe there was any black ice involved in this incident}> |
Can you show how/where you mounted these?
|
Yes, if possible do a video of your system/installation. And why you choose the system and installation locations that you did and how it is wired.

You have to mount these directly to the windows...if you try to mount them to the trim, they'll vibrate. Wiring is dirt simple. You can just wire in a cig adapter and hide it, but the cam would either run all the time or only when the key is on. They make a little box that lets you set the timing to be X hours after key off, or until the battery goes below X volts. That box is easy to mount...one wire to an always-on wire, another go a key-on wire, one to ground. It has it's own cig port and some dip switches to your liking. You can do all this using the add-a-tap type fuse clips if you want. I'll do a quick video tomorrow after work or Saturday and post it for you guys. |
